614 Gig was established by Ohio Gig LLC to invest in bringing Fiber to the home and business throughout the 614 Columbus Metropolitan exchange area. Shortly after Ohio Gig established the business TAK Group and Cara Zale Fund II joined 614 Gig as local, investing members.
In order to accelerate the establishment of the local business in the 614 Columbus Metropolitan exchange area, 614 Gig made an investment in Bresco Solutions, dba BRESCO Broadband. As a demonstration in the belief of the business and the vision for the future the founders of BRESCO in turn invested in Ohio Gig.
BRESCO Broadband, entering its 25th year of operations on December 28th, 2023, brings experience and an established metropolitan network to the business. BRESCO built its business on fixed wireless access and datacenter services. In recent years BRESCO has transitioned itself to a Fiber-to-the-Residence and Business primarily by building fiber in residential multi-dwelling units, commercial multi-tenant environments, hybrid residential and commercial multi-tenant environments and new, private developments.
BRESCO is able to deploy Fiber-to-the-Site quickly and cost effectively by building new fiber in compliment with existing fiber infrastructure available through municipal (public) and private fiber infrastructure owners and operators throughout the 614 Columbus Metropolitan exchange.
BRESCO Broadband serves as 614 Gigs initial go to market brands.
